Debregenet Medhanealem Tigrayan Orthodox Tewahdo Church is a community of believers who are committed to living out our faith in the ancient Tigrayan Orthodox Tewahdo Church.
Our Orthodox Faith and Traditions
At Debregenet Medhanealem Tigrayan Orthodox Tewahdo Church, we are rooted in the ancient traditions of the Tigrayan Orthodox Tewahdo Church. We believe in the Holy Trinity, the divinity of Christ, the virgin birth, the resurrection of Christ, and the salvation of all humanity through the grace of God. Our worship services are conducted in Ge’ez, the ancient liturgical language of our church, and we offer English translations for those who may not be familiar with the language. We also have programs and ministries, including Sunday School and Bible studies, that reflect our beliefs and traditions, as well as community outreach projects that allow us to serve those in need. We are committed to preserving and sharing our rich heritage as Orthodox Christians with the world, and we invite you to join us in worship and service.
Our Youth Programs
At Debregenet Medhanealem Tigrayan Orthodox Tewahedo Church, we believe in investing in the spiritual growth and development of our youth. We offer a range of programs and initiatives designed to help our young people deepen their faith, build community, and develop their gifts and talents. Our Sunday School program provides age-appropriate religious education for children, while our youth groups offer a range of activities and events for young people to connect with one another and grow in their faith. We also offer retreats, camps, and other special events throughout the year, all aimed at helping our youth grow in their relationship with God and with one another.
Our Outreach Programs
As followers of Christ, we are called to love and serve those in need. That’s why at Debregenet Medhanealem Tigrayan Orthodox Tewahedo Church, we are committed to serving our community through a range of outreach programs. We partner with local organizations to provide help to those in need, and we also have clothing drive to support those who are struggling. Additionally, we offer counseling services, support groups, and other resources to help those who are going through difficult times here and back home in Tigray.
